WHERE DO WE GO?

Knowledge development classes take place here in the Parrotfish Dive Resort. Through reading the manual you’ll develop an understanding of the basic principles of scuba diving, how pressure affects your body, and how to choose the best scuba gear when planning you dives. There will be five knowledge review sections at the end of each chapter with a few small quizzes followed by a longer quiz at the end of the day to make sure you have understood the key concepts of diving.

Confined Water Dives and SCUBA Skills Training take you into the pool. Here you will entre the water for the first time and discover the sensation of breathing underwater. You will learn the basic skills of diving from hand signals, removing water from your mask, to some emergency skills such as regulator removal and air sharing.

The Open Water Dives takes place along the pristine dive sites in the Great Barrier Reef Maine Park including Agincourt, Opal, St Crispin and Tongue reefs. With a maximum of 4 students to an Instructor our students receive hands on personalised tuition and guidance during the dive and until its completion. All dives are boat dives on a state-of-the-art catamaran which provides the ultimate service in safety and comfort.
